The Bell-in-Hand Tavern is a lively place to be. During the early part of the week, folks stop in for a bite to eat, drinks, and to listen to local bands play a variety of live music. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night the crowd picks up as does the music scene. We have two floors, 5 bars, live music, a DJ, something for everyone. As America’s Oldest continuously operating tavern, The Bell-in-Hand is filled with history and everyone who frequents here leaves with a feeling that they have spent good time with friends.Full service restaurant and bar open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 2:00 am serving lunch and dinner. The capacity is 496 with two floors. Each room has a distinct design and unique atmosphere. We have a wide selection of beer on draft and bottles, in addition to specialty drinks prepared by our bartenders. America's oldest continuously operating tavern since 1795 (when retired Boston crier Jimmy Wilson first opened its doors), the Bell in Hand is famous for an impressive clientele through the years (including actors, city leaders and Daniel Webster). Today the tavern hosts live bands and good times.
