Newly opened in the primo Boylston Street space formerly occupied by Vinny T’s, the Back Bay Social Club is already making its mark on the downtown crowd. With 2 floors of dining and bar space, the upscale retro-chic decor, extensive bar offerings, and a generous menu, the Back Bay Social Club is ready to start a rather large and active membership list.
Led by executive Chef Tim Raines and managed by the Lyons Group (of Summer Shack, La Verdad, House of Blues, and Kings notoriety), the spot is aiming to be the place in town for good casual dining that could easily be the site of your next date or after-work get-together.
Serving up breakfast, brunch, and dinner, their 8 page menu features some urban staples--steak frites, roasted leg of lamb--with more eclectic fare sprinkled throughout. Standouts on the menu include instantly salivating servings like the breakfast menu’s Griddle Glazed Donut sandwich, with house bacon and cheddar. Thursday nights feature a Paella for Two. Starters include a Shaved Watermelon Salad and on the dessert menu, Beignets with chocolate fudge sauce.
If your preference is to imbibe your veggies, no doubt their Bloody Mary list will satisfy your daily requirement. Creative twists on the classic concoction include a Maple Bacon Bloody, because, let’s face it, protein is important too.
Grab a seat at one of their lipstick red booths, set against vintage boxing posters and the eye-catching black and white tiled floor, or sidle up to the dark mahogany bar on either level, and get ready. The Back Bay is about to learn a whole new way to socialize, and everyone’s going to want to join the club.
